Senior Interaction Designer
Responsibilities
- Interacting with clients to build a relationship and communicate about design
- Creating a design strategy through methods such as contextual inquiry, stakeholder interviews, workflow analysis, and competitive review
- Designing the experience, including the information architecture and detailed interaction design
- Creating interactive prototypes of the user experience in HTML (not final code, just prototypes for a user centered design)
- Evaluating usability via regular user feedback as part of your design process
Things You Must Have to be Successful in this Interaction Design Position
- A strong body of work demonstrating experience with complex applications
- A user-centered design process including rapid prototyping and user testing
- Comfortable with Dreamweaver, Photoshop or Fireworks, Illustrator or Visio
- Basic understanding of technologies that influence UI design including .net, JSP, ASP, and XML
- Delightful communication skills, preferably with experience working directly with clients in consulting relationships
- Excellent time management, with the ability to work from home and in our office in Mountain View (you must live in the San Francisco Bay Area)
- Flexibility, including the ability to work in pajamas and bunny slippers
