Desktop to Web

Elevon wanted to move to a web-based application without losing critical functionality from their desktop product. That meant adapting spreadsheet behaviors to an environment with limited capabilities. We made several design changes to the product to make it better suited to the web, including:

• Draggable icons, rather than a more complex Excel style interface, to help users pivot
• Dropdown menus to enable spreading, filling, and applying formulas
• Color-coded fields to help novice users understand where input is needed
• Customizable views to allow more advanced users to adapt the product to their needs
• A hub and spoke wizard to allow administrators to perform set-up in a recommended order or in an order of their choosing
