Intuit, best known for financial management products like Quicken and TurboTax, wanted to create a new product that would revolutionize the personal medical expense management industry. Their goal was to give individuals the same visibility and control of their medical expenses that Quicken offers for personal finances.

Intuit relied on Sliced Bread’s assistance throughout the concept, design and development of the new product. The product entered Intuit into the medical expense management space as an immediate leader and was very well received by end users.

Strategy & Solution

In order to create the new Medical Expense Manager product, we:

• Crafted multiple high-level approaches and tested each with users
• Created detailed designs of each area of functionality and refined the designs with multiple iterations
• Followed an innovative design and development process that combined beta testing with user feedback and contextual inquiries in order to fully understand user reaction to the product before final release
• Worked with customer support and marketing to release the product
