Business Need

The Intuit Property Management product team wanted to redesign their online applications for managing real estate properties to improve the search, inquiry, and grid functionality. Intuit planned to use the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) technology, which provides a platform for designing rich, interactive experiences.

They hired Sliced Bread Design to help them take full advantage of the technology and create an exciting, easy to use interface for their products.

Strategy & Solution

Sliced Bread Design took the following actions to improve the Intuit Property Management products:

• Improved the search tool by surfacing key functionality
• Redesigned the page layout to maximize screen real estate while reducing clutter
• Suggested that Intuit Property Management offer browse functionality in addition to search by designing “Centers of Information” where content is presented in a list-oriented, two-pane layout
• Created a consistent interaction template that displays a large quantity of row data without requiring the page to scroll horizontally; this template was applied to all tables across all products
